Science Lab at Shimbwe Secondary School

The construction of the much awaited science laboratory has been completed and has been fitted out with all the amenities expected for a fully functional classroom; desks, gas and water faucets, sinks, cupboards, shelves, approved practical drainage and waste disposal systems.

Since the school opened in 1998, pupils have been unable to pursue science subjects mainly due to the lack of science teaching facilities and running water.

The pupils are very excited and overjoyed that they will be finally able to take one of the three sciences; physics, chemistry and biology. We look forward to seeing some pupils graduate utilising these qualifications to pursue further education or a career in science.
